Yesterday, my brother had a tv on in his office when the news of the military base shootings came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there. He called her into his office and the minute he told her what was going on, she got a text message from her husband saying, “I am okay.” The cell phone started ringing right after that. It was an ER nurse. She said , “I’m the one who just sent you a text, not your husband.” She thought the message would be comforting, but she immediately knew she had to let the wife know what was going on She said, “I am sorry but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery.” The wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan and drove all night.

Miraculously, here is the photo I just received from my brother that was taken today in the hospital room. He is awake and will recover. His wife, who lives in Dothan, made it to Ft. Hood about the time he was waking up.

Thought I’d share this great outcome.

We were in Pigeon Forge over the week end.  We left to come home on Sunday.  Traffic was moving slowly, and a car in front of us had an Obama bumper sticker on it.  It read:  “Pray for Obama.  Psalms 109:8″.

Mike’s Bible was lying on the dash board and he got it, opened it up to the scripture and read it.  He started laughing & laughing.  Then he read it to me.  I couldn’t believe what it said.  I had a good laugh, too.

Psalms 109:8:  “Let his days be few; and let another take his office.”

Global warming alarmists want Americans to believe that humans are killing the planet. But Not Evil Just Wrong, a new documentary by Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, proves that the only threats to America (and the rest of the world) are the flawed science and sky-is-falling rhetoric of Al Gore and his allies in environmental extremism.

Small towns in the heartland, like Vevay, Ind., will become bastions of unemployment and poverty. Breadwinners like Tim McElhany in Vevay will lose their jobs — and will have to start borrowing money again just to buy bread for their families.

The damage that would be wrought is unjustified by the science. Not Evil Just Wrong exposes the deceptions that experts, politicians, educators and the media have been force-feeding the public for years. Man-made pollution is not melting the polar icecaps. The ocean will not rise 20 feet in a flash. And the only polar bears dying because of man are the ones who try to eat men.

McAleer and McElhinney debunk what, for a time, was the environmental movement’s most powerful weapon of disinformation, the infamous “hockey stick” graph that attributed a supposedly unique burst of warming in the 20th century to humans. They also shatter the myth that the hottest years in the United States were 1998 and 2006. The hottest year was 1934, and the hottest decade was the 1930s — when there were half as many people and no SUVs or jumbo jets.

Obama and Janet Napolitano Appoint Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim,  as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development Source for announcement: Homeland Security Press Room. The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is proud to announce that the DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria,  as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

NOTE:  Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, Jew or Protestant? Just wondering~~~ Doesn’t this make you feel safer already that Devout Muslims have been appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? That should make our homeland much safer, huh!! Was it not men of the “Devout Muslim Faith” that flew planes into U.S. buildings not too long ago. What the heck is this president thinking? This announcement was made on Aug 20. Why are we just now hearing about it?

Today, even though President Obama is against off  shore drilling for oil for this country, He signed  an executive order to loan 2 Billion of our taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil Exploration  Company (which is the 8th largest company in the  entire world) to drill  for oil off the coast of  Brazil. The oil that comes from this operation is for the sole purpose and use of China  and not the USA.

The Chinese  government is under contract to purchase all the oil that  this oil field will produce, which is hundreds of millions of barrels of oil. We have absolutely no gain  from this transaction whatsoever.

Wait it gets more  interesting.

Guess who is the largest individual stockholder of this Brazilian Oil  Company and who would benefit most from this? It is American Billionaire, George Soros,  Liberal businessman who is a radical left wing supporter,  finances MoveOn.org as well as other liberal programs and was President Obama’s largest and most generous supporter during his campaign. If you are able to connect the dots  and follow the money, you are probably as upset as I am.  Not a word of this transaction  was on any of the other news networks.

Karla Comfort received a lot of looks and even some salutes from people when she drove from Benton, Ark., to Camp Pendleton, Calif., in her newly-painted, custom Hummer H3 March 2.  The vehicle is adorned with the likeness of her son, 20-year-old Lance Cpl. John M. Holmason, and nine other Marines with F Company, 2nd Battalion, 7 th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division who where all killed by the same improvised explosive device blast in Fallujah, Iraq, in December.

For Karla Comfort, having the vehicle air brushed with the image of the 10 Marines was a way to pay homage to her hero and his fellow comrades who fell on Iraq’s urban battlefield.

‘I wanted to let people know (Marines) are doing their jobs honorably, and some of them die,’ said the 39-year-old from Portland , OR .  ‘I don’t want people to forget the sacrifices that my son and the other Marines made.’

Leading up to her son’s death, Karla Comfort had received several letters from him prior to his return.  He had been deployed for five months, and Comfort ‘worried everyday he was gone until she got the letters and found out the date he was coming home,’ she said.

Marines knocked on the front door of her home in Farmington , Mich. , at 3 am with the dreadful news.

‘I let my guard down when I found out he was coming home,’ she said.  ‘There are times that I still cannot believe it happened. It’s very hard to deal with.’

Karla Comfort came up with the idea for the rolling memorial when she and her two other sons attended John’s funeral in Portland, Ore.

‘I saw a Vietnam (War) memorial on a car, and I said to my son Josh, ‘we should do something like that for John,’ she recalled. ‘He loved Hummers.’

She purchased the vehicle in January and immediately took it to AirbrushGuy & Co. InBenton , Ark. , where artist Robert Powell went to work on changing the plain, black vehicle into a decorative, mobile, art piece.

‘I only had the vehicle for two days before we took it in,’ she joked.

Two hundred and fifty man-hours later, Powell had completed the vehicle.  The custom job would have cost $25,000.  Out of respect for Karla Comfort’s loss and the sacrifices the Marines made, AirbrushGuy & Co. Did it for free.  Comfort only had to purchase the paint, which cost $3,000.

‘I love it,’ she said.  ‘I’m really impressed with it, and I think John would be happy with the vehicle..  He would have a big smile on his face because he loved Hummers.’

Karla Comfort gave Powell basic instructions on what to include in the paint job.  But in addition to the image of her son in Dress Blues and the faces of the nine other Marines, there were several surprises.  ‘He put a lot more on than I expected,’ she said.  ‘I think my favorite part is the heaven scene.’

On the left side of the vehicle, a detail of Marines are depicted carrying their fallen comrades through the clouds to their final resting place.  The American flag drapes across the hood, the words, ‘Semper Fi’ crown the front windshield and the spare tire cover carries the same Eagle Globe and Anchor design that her son had tattooed on his back.

‘All the support I have been getting is wonderful,’ she said.

Karla Comfort decided to move back to her hometown of Portland, and making the cross-country trip from Arkansas was a way for her to share her son’s story.  It’s also her way of coping with the loss.

‘Along the way I got nothing but positive feedback from people,’ she said.  ‘What got to me was when people would salute the guys (Marines).  It’s hard to look at his picture.

I still cry and try to get used to the idea, but it’s hard to grasp the idea that he’s really gone.’

AND THEY DID. IT WAS ANNOUNCED TODAY ON THE NEWS THAT THE “KENNEDY HEALTH CARE BILL” WAS WRITTEN INTO THE NEW HEALTH CARE REFORM INITIATIVE ENSURING THAT THAT CONGRESS WILL BE 100% EXEMPT ! 

SO, THIS GREAT NEW HEALTH CARE PLAN THAT IS GOOD FOR YOU AND I… IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR OBAMA, HIS FAMILY OR CONGRESS…??

So, we’ve got a 30 day budget extension. Well, guess what, 30 days from now we will be in the same boat. I guess this makes it easy for the news ‘reporters’ as all they have to do is recycle the same headlines from this week and from 2 years ago. And these yo-yo’s will still be playing SOLITAIRE!!!
